I just added the sketches I did on the plane when I was flying to/from Mexico: http://luisangelmex.deviantart.com/gallery/#Sketching-on-a-Plane. It was a VERY fun way of spending my time while flying. I'm a bit sad I never tried that before, but now I look forward to my winter vacation for one more reason, hehe. I also added the preliminary sketches for the Mayan Princesses: http://luisangelmex.deviantart.com/gallery/#_browse/scraps. They are not in the main gallery, as they're clearly just incomplete sketches, but it's interesting to see them side-by-side with the final versions.

This is a relaxing vacation. I'm at my parent's house just relaxing. I'll be visiting some friends, but will spend most of the next 2 weeks just relaxing and eating home made mexican food. Oh, yeah, and sketching. I think I'll spend most of my sketching time coloring all the BW stuff I have. The girl with the red glasses is the first finished piece from my vacation time. What do you think of her? I liked her a lot, especially since I haven't done any digital coloring in months (and well, I've only done like 5 digital pieces in my whole life) Hopefully I'll finish at least a couple more before returning to rainy Seattle...

Every Tuesday my friends and I get together to watch anime. We've been doing that for about year and a half, and so far I think the series I've enjoyed the most are the ones with giant robots... We started watching Code Geass today, and I'm totally addicted now. During the last year the series I've enjoyed the most have been Gundam 00 S1 and S2, and Gurren Lagann, and I'm excited about watching the remake/reimagining of Mazinger Z. Oh well, some day I'll sketch a giant robot. Though most likely I'll design the robot pilot first, probably some good looking femme fatale...hehe
